The Lasori-Abuja Road construction project is a total of 380 meters in length and 7.3 meters in width.

Bldr. Daini, in his address, underscored the profound impact the road construction project would have on the lives of Lasori and Abuja residents. Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Disburses N10 Million Relief Fund to Residents

 

In a bid to alleviate the economic burden faced by residents, the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has disbursed a total of 10 million Naira to no fewer than 500 indigenes and residents. Spearheaded by the Executive Chairman, Builder Olusesan Daini, the program, tagged the “Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Relief Fund,” aims to provide much-needed financial assistance to those affected by the prevailing economic challenges.

The beneficiaries, carefully selected by a local organizing committee and stakeholders within the community, each received 20,000 Naira to help mitigate the impact of economic hardships. The disbursement event, held today, saw individuals and families from various walks of life receiving the financial support they urgently needed.

In his remarks, Chairman Olusesan Daini emphasized the commitment of the LCDA to fulfill promises made to the people. In a momentous event, the Igbogbo Kingdom celebrated the official commissioning of the Nigerian Immigration Office Front Office, signaling a new era of convenience for passport applicants and heralding economic opportunities for the region.

The newly unveiled front office is poised to revolutionize the passport application process, promising a reduction in stress for applicants. Residents of Igbogbo and its environs can now look forward to expedited services, marking a significant improvement in accessibility and efficiency.

Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, the newly appointed Controller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, made history as the first Yoruba citizen to lead the agency. Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area Chairman, Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini, has commissioned the new fully furnished school block of five classrooms project in Local Government School, Oreta and Perimeter Fencing of Lajo Community School in Lajo Town today, assuring the community that his administration remains dedicated to the educational development in Igbogbo/Baiyeku, and better ideas to keep education sector in the LCDA on a working path of virility.

Daini, at the commissioning of the new School Infrastructural Development, said investment in education is cardinal for any government to secure the future of its society. “From the start, our commitment to education at all levels in our area has never been in doubt.”

“Our focus on education is predicated on several complementary interventions, including physical infrastructure, technology, teacher and student welfare, and the reduction of the number of out-of-school children in the area,” he said.

He stated that, “Subsidy remover is a major issue that we are tackling in this country. And the data value allocation for federal, the state and local government has increased. Which is one of the major reasons why the local government can deliver this project within the space of six weeks.”

“We wouldn’t have done this if not for subsidy. The increase must have direct impacts on our people, on education, on health and general development of our community.” He added. 

“In addition, we would be commissioning more projects, some of which are the Oreta Primary Health Center that we facilitated, a new Primary School in Oshorun area of Ibeshe, and the new Olu-Odo Primary School in Olu-Odo town. ” he said.

“We have equally focused on the provision of educational materials like exercise for over eleven thousand pupils across the 13 primary schools in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA to ensure effective academic performance of our pupils. Daini added.

“We were here on the 28th of July 2023, to lay the foundation of this building. And I promised the students, staff, the head teacher and the community that we are going to deliver this project. Today, by the grace of God, with the support of all my team, and the council, we are here to the commission the school building.”

Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, former Secretary to the Lagos State Government and a former Commissioner at the program thanked Daini for bringing back the need to invest in primary education. “You have done very well for bringing back free education in the council area.”

“Daini has done well so far by carrying the leaders in Ikorodu Division along about his plans. I commend him and also congratulate him for this great achievement.” Basorun stated. 

Daini charged the school management to use the facilities judiciously and responsibly.

“Shun all forms of vandalism and carelessness and treat these buildings and projects as public goods that must be maintained for future generations,” he said.

The Educational Secretary, Ikorodu Division, Mr Amusa described Daini as “a builder, a doer and a man of great vision”, which according him informed the great feat.

In his remarks, the former principal said the feat was another step in the transformation quest for development of schools in the LCDA.

Stating that Builder Daini led Administration has positively tilted towards education. 

Appreciating the massive achievements of the Chairman, he mentioned that his achievements have been all encompassing, “no sector left behind.”

Lajo Community Primary School Perimeter Fence

Builder Olusesan Daini has completed the building of Lajo Primary School Perimeter Fence following complaint from the school management and the Community Development Association (CDA) about a month ago.
Speaking with a resident, Olaiya Kolawole said “this is a positive development for the school and the community, and it shows that Builder Olusesan Daini is committed to improving the state of education not only in Lajo Community but also in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA at large.”
“The full fencing of the school will help to prevent unauthorized access and protect school facilities.” He added.

 

Daini Felicitate With President Tinubu As PEPT Upholds Election Victory

The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Bldr. Olusesan Daini has yesterday congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal upholds his election victory.

At the Tribunal, Justice Tsammani said, “This petition accordingly lacks merit. I affirm the return of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the duly elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties are to bear their cost”.

Daini in a press release said, “I join millions of Nigerians to celebrate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Presidential Election Tribunal upholds his victory as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

”It is with joy that I felicitate with our renowned progressive leader who has overtime aligned with the populace in the clamour for good governance across the nation and globally.”

He further stated that President Tinubu will turn around the fortunes of Nigeria for the better in all the areas for Nigeria to sit permanently among nations with stable political, economic and social development.

Nigerians from all walks of life are waited eagerly to witness the televised live proceedings from the Tribunal venue at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) were the challengers of President Bola Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

All 10 of the witnesses testified that the voting went well and was peaceful in their different polling units but they all said they could not upload results electronically to the INEC IREV, so they entered the results manually and took the same to the ward & or state collation centre.

The witnesses were emphatic that voting went well, party agents signed the results but the only difficulty was in uploading the results electronically.

At the commissioning, the Chairman said, “This feat not only demonstrate our commitment to religious institutions, it also shows dedication to promote oneness, unity and religious harmony in Igbogbo/Biayeku LCDA”.

Council Boss prepares distribution of Educational Materials to 12,000 pupils in 13 primary schools across IBLCDA for the new academic session.

The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini, earlier this week, reaffirmed that the number one service on the priority list of his administration is to render to the pupils of the community the provision of a quality and value-driven education system.

He gave this remark at the meeting with the 13 head teachers from all the primary schools across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and Mr Afolabi Amusa, Educational Secretary of Ikorodu Local Government Authority, at the Council Secretariat.

He said the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA particularly his administration strongly believes that putting the education sector in the driver’s seat among other sectors of the economy and getting things done properly would genuinely bring about the desired socio-economic prosperity to the LCDA and state by extension.

Speaking at the meeting, Daini  highlighted some recent developments in the educational sector of the LCDA, some of which are the newly built and fully equipped 1 block of 5 classrooms in Local Government Primary School in Oreta, all-round perimeter fencing of Lajo Community School, commencement of pupils registration at the new Olu Odo Primary School in Olu Odo Community, and the impending distribution of educational materials to primary schools across IBLCDA for the new academic session next week.

“There are about 12,000 primary school pupils in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and we are dedicated to harmonize and prioritize the needs of every primary schools in our LCDA. We will equally share exercise books, amongst other educational materials for all the pupils in all primary schools next week” Daini said.

In addition, the Council Boss emphasized on the need to establish a new primary school in Oshorun area of Ibeshe to allow pupils have access to primary education in the area.
